About

Hello and welcome!
My name is Bethany and I am so glad that you've decided to stop by!

I am a 26 year old mother to an inquisitive toddler, Madeline; and step-mother to a brilliant girl, Leila, who is five. I married a wonderful man, Aaron, who is the bee's knees. Together, we are currently living in a quaint home in the Chicago metropolitan area; and have no plans to leave any time soon.

Some of my favorite things include: peanut butter; thunderstorms and tornadoes (I tried to talk my husband into going on a tornado chasing tour for a honeymoon); taking entirely too many photographs of anything; and making it a point to laugh often.

Also, I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, with a concentration Social Work from Purdue University; and my husband is currently attending classes to obtain his degree in an architecture-related field. Most of my professional experience has been in assisting adults with developmental disabilities in one form or another, since I had graduated high school... Nearly ten years ago (yikes!).

Recently, my husband and I had some rather deep and heartfelt discussions which lead us to agree that working full-time might not be the best fit for our family; and as a result, I am a now a stay-at-home mother. The choice has proven to be the most rewarding task I have ever taken on.

Much of what you'll find this blog includes are: our dreams for one another; projects around the house; lots of family pictures; and I'm sure that I'll also include recipes and other things, too.

We appreciate your time and hope that you'll visit often!
